I have been a patient of Dr. Gaston for at least 10 yrs, he just recently performed my annual colonoscopy. Dr. Gaston is the ultimate professional, knowledgeable and compassionate. My colonoscopy with Dr. Gaston was as positive an experience as a colonoscopy can possibly be. During the consultation, he was very friendly, professional and made sure he answered all my questions. The liquid he prescribes for the purge is just Gatorade with a powder added so it doesn’t taste bad like the stuff that was required for my last colonoscopy (different doctor, different facility). Also, Dr. Gaston only prescribes 1/2 gallon (as opposed to a full gallon last time) so the purge was much easier. The clinic is very efficiently run and I never spent more than a couple of minutes in the waiting area either for the consult or the colonoscopy. All of the staff were very courteous and friendly. My last colonoscopy was in a hospital, and I was shunted all over the place and everything took a long time. At Dr. Gaston’s clinic everything takes place in one small area. Very efficient. I was in and out in just over an hour. Also, in the days after the colonoscopy, I was called up by the staff to make sure that everything was ok. I give 2 thumbs up!

From the very first visit to the Metropolitan Gastroenterology office to the day of my colonoscopy I was just amazed at the warm greeting and professionalism of the entire staff and Dr. Darrien Gaston himself. I was so comfortable with the whole procedure. Thanks you guys for making me feel relaxed. I would recommend this wonderful experience.

From consultation until the day of my colonoscopy, Dr. Gaston and his staff were Great! I did not have to endure the nasty drink in preparation for the procedure. The drink I had was pleasant! On the day of the procedure, the entire staff was AWESOME!! It was such a wonderful experience! His office is comfy, beautiful, and immaculate! If you are seeking a Gastroenterologist, with great bedside manner and personable, call Metropolitan Gastroenterology on Western Ave. (Beverly area), and ask for Dr. Gaston.

Dr. Gaston, as usual, was very thorough in his explanation of the colonoscopy process and ensuring through his staff that his patients are safe and comfortable. I like that the procedure can be done in his office.
