Dr Gaston has proven twice to address my issues with my gut and found the correct treatment. I went to another GI closer to my home me and had an upper/lower and failed diagnosis and treatment with no direction in what should be done for my problem . This is a great office. I was referred to them by Colonoscopy Direct. The receptionist was polite and friendly. Dr. Gaston is very knowledgeable and extremely professional. When I had my procedure the nurse and medical assistant were professional too. After the procedure, Dr. Gaston checked to make sure I was good to go home while also explaining his findings. The nurse and medical assistant each made sure I was good to before I left. I felt no pain or discomfort afterwards. Also the next day Mrs.Gaston called me for a follow up to make sure everything was good and that there was no concerns.I thought that was very impressive especially for this day and age. Metropolitian Gastroenterology is a great medical practice with the friendliness of a family business.
Dr. Gaston gave me my first colonoscopy at Age 50. Kinda late considering my Mom died of colon cancer. Early detection is the key. he removed the polyps . And with regular check up.and sound advice I've ok. Recently I had difficulty swallowing so I visited him and he told me I had GERD. He told me to stop drinking coffee after the examination he put me on some medication and upon taking it the girl went away I'm so grateful for a guy like him!
When I went to see Dr. Gaston it has been an absolute easy breezy experience. Going in for a colonoscopy is not the most joyous occasion, but Dr. Gaston is absolutely incredible! It seems like I dozed off for a nap and they woke me up and it was done! It certainly helps that I got rave reviews on my 63 y/o colon😅. On June 6th 2019, I went in for a colonoscopy and everyone that was part of the procedure made me feel real comfortable. Prior to the procedure Dr Gaston made me aware of the good and the bad. Well, of course I was a bit nervous until that anesthesia hit me I was out like a light. Dr Gaston told me when I had awaken that he found 6 polyps and removed them while I was asleep. I feel good and have been working towards changing my diet. Men 50 and over need to get checked out and I recommend going to Dr Gaston.
